In 2004, members of the community of St. Francis Assisi in Raleigh, NC decided to produce a play giving voice to those on Death Row. In the wake of this piece, The Justice Theater Project was born.

Community Engagement and Collaboration

The Justice Theater Project does not tolerate racism, police brutality, or injustice. We support the Black Lives Matter movement to make changes to a system that was built on unequal ground.

We continue to work tirelessly toward our mission to produce compelling theater experiences that create community dialogue and give voice to social concerns. With one voice, we condemn racism, bigotry, and violence.

Together we can make a lasting change for all people. Live theater is a unique and powerful experience for the individual and the community. The Justice Theater Project remains a welcoming, safe and accessible organization with no barriers for educators, artists, non-profit partners and patrons to come together. We welcome you to our stage - join us.
